What’s something we love most about social media? The constant evolution of our beloved social networking sites. Recently, Twitter rolled our Twitter Cards, and we are enthralled by this new addition. Using the new Twitter Cards will allow for more information to be displayed, who doesn’t love that? The use of an App Card will show application information such as name, icon, price and rating. Product cards will showcase an image of the product with a few additional lines. As of April, Twitter Developers reported 6 card types to be attached to Tweets: Summary, Large Image Summary, Photo, Gallery, App, Player, and Product.
As of May, the mother-load of all possible Twitter Cards was revealed: Lead Generation Card. Seriously, how many times have you heard “what’s the ROI” and “how many leads do you generate on Twitter?” Add the concept of Twitter cards to your utility belt guys, and drive some leads on Twitter. Use Twitter Cards and these Lead Generation Cards to “bring rich experiences and useful tools to users within an expanded Tweet” as described by Twitter. This exciting call to action will hopefully be available to small and medium sized businesses soon, so you can start developing deeper connections and driving leads. Do we have any predictions of this new service? Thoughts on how this will affect businesses, as well as consumers? What do you think of this new service as a personal user? What about as a business user?
